Who Says You Can’t Wear White After Labor Day?

It’s been an old dress etiquette cliche, "You should not wear white after Labor Day". But why did they (whoever they are), implement this dress code rule? Let’s learn history. As a child growing up, I remember the Labor Day dress code rule, and how we the people followed the dress code. In September the color white was banned. If someone was wearing white everyone was either staring at you or you were directly told, “ You shouldn’t be wearing white after Labor Day!” (With a commanding voice Geesh!)
